I build software that businesses run on: products, platforms and internal systems, owned end to end from architecture and data model to the interface people use every day.

I start from the business outcome, not the tools. Languages and frameworks are a means: I choose what serves the problem and work across the whole stack.

My strengths are modelling complex domains, making systems fast and reliable, and turning legacy code into a foundation a business can build on.

Trained in piano and sound engineering, I bring the same discipline of structure and detail to code.

> Principles

  • Business first. Every technical decision traces back to a business outcome. Requirements become designs that account for edge cases, invariants and risk.

  • Measure before optimising. Decisions rest on profiling data, not intuition.

  • Pragmatic architecture. Patterns where they pay off, plain code where they don't.

  • AI as a tool, not a replacement. LLMs and agentic tooling are part of my daily workflow. Every change is reviewed, and I own the outcome.

  • Documentation is a deliverable. Decisions, APIs and systems are written down so the next engineer can move fast.

    Stanford Van Lines (US, remote)

    Own the company's entire technology function as its sole engineer: architecture, infrastructure, integrations and vendor decisions. Grew the role from website support to CTO.
